    Holiday Festivities in the Palm Beaches

    It's the most wonderful time of the year. Cool weather, tree lightings, hot cocoa, decorations and festivities! We put together a list of the best in tree lighting, boat parades, and land loving holiday parties in the month of December hitting the Palm Beaches.

    BOAT PARADES

    Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade
    Info: Dec. 1, starting at 6 p.m. arrives in Jupiter approximately at 8 p.m. Travels along the Intracoastal from North Palm Beach to the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse. Mo and Sally from KOOL 105.5 will be on the Loggerhead Marina Grand Marshall Boat; 561-863-0012.

    Boynton Beach & Delray Beach Holiday Boat Parade 
    Info: Dec. 14, beginning at 6:30 p.m. This flotilla of brightly-decorated boats will line up at the Boynton Inlet and motor south, which will light up the Intracoastal throughout Boynton Beach, and Delray Beach to the C-15 canal. Bring toys to donate to Toys for Tots. For more information, call Boynton Beach at 561-600-9097 or the City of Delray at 561-243-7250.

    Boca Raton Holiday Boat Parade
    Info: Dec. 22, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Boat parade begins from the Intracoastal Waterway starting at the C-15 canal (Boca Raton-Delray Beach city limits) traveling south to Hillsboro Bridge. Watch the parade and enjoy food, and drinks from Red Reef Park located at 1400 N State Road A1A Boca Raton; 561-367-7073.

    Lake Osborne Holiday Boat Parade:
    Dec. 14, starting at 7:30 p.m. at Lakeside Anchor Inn. The parade should reach Lantana Road and Lake Osborne Drive approximately at 8 p.m.Toys for Tots toys will be collected at Anchor Inn.; 561-868-5900.

    LAND LOVING HOLIDAY PARTIES

    Boca Raton Holiday Parade:

    Dec. 5, 7:30 to 9 p.m.; Begins at Federal Highway and SE 5th Street traveling to Mizner Park Amphitheater; 561-367-7073.

    Delray Beach Holiday Parade:
    Dec. 8, 6 p.m., along E. Atlantic Avenue through Downtown; 561-243-7000, ext.5101.

    Jupiter-Tequesta Holiday Parade:
    Dec. 9, 1 p.m., parade runs from Jupiter to Tequesta along Old Dixie Highway and Alternate A1A. This year’s theme is Future Christmas.h

    Lake Worth Holiday Parade Info:
    Dec. 15, 6 p.m., Parade starts at the corner of Lucerne and Federal Highway heading west, turning south on J Street and then east on Lake Avenue, ending and then turning north on Federal Hwy. No Santa Claus costumes allowed, as the real Santa will make an appearance.

    35th Annual Wellington Holiday Parade Info:
    Dec. 9, 1:30 p.m beginning at Wellington Trace and Forest Hill Boulevard. This year’s theme is “Holiday in Paradise.”

    MENORAH LIGHTING

    Delray Beach Info:
    December 2, Lighting of the Menorah at sundown, approximately at 6 p.m. Old School Square Park, 96 N.E. 2nd Avenue, Delray Beach.

    HOLIDAY FESTIVALS

    Garden of Lights: A Winter Holiday Event.
    Through Dec. 30, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. located at Mounts Botanical Garden, 531 N Military Trl, West Palm Beach.
    This festival features 15 garden areas covered in thousands of holiday lights, illuminated walkways and landmark structures. Live dance performances and musical presentations from local schools and academies. To purchase tickets, visit Mounts Botanical Garden’s website.


    Wellington’s Winterfest 2018:
    Dec. 7, starting at 6 p.m. Gates will open to Blizzard Beach and the Vendor Village followed by live musical performances at 7 p.m. This year’s headliner is Vanilla Ice. Experience a snow globe photo booth, LED inflatable photo booths and social media sharing stations, shopping, food vendors and more. Located at: Palm Beach International Equestian Center, 3400 Equestrian Club Drive, Wellington; 561-792-6525. 

    ALL WINTER LONG

    Nightly Snowfalls at CityPlace:
    Snowfalls on the plaza at CityPlace nightly through Dec. 31. Mondays through Wednesday, catch the snow at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays: Snowfalls at 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. There is no snowfall on Dec. 25.

    Hoffman’s Winter Wonderland:
    Through Dec. 30, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Free to the public. Festivities feature more than 125,000 LED lights, holiday displays, an Arctic zone with lighted polar bears and penguins, a Nativity scene, Christmas tree and a glowing Hanukkah display.
