1. South Florida Fair Themed Magical Parades

Since 1912 each January, over a half million visitors enjoy 17 fun filled days at the South Florida Fair, one of Florida’s oldest and largest community events. Fairgoers are entertained by first class stage shows, national concert performances, sensational midway rides, unique shopping and the best of fair food.

2. Homecoming Dance to Benefit Rescue Dogs

Put on a fancy dress, your favorite shoes and come dance the night away to help rescue abandoned and neglected dogs.

G Girl Productions is hosting the 2018 Glitz and Glamour Homecoming Dance on Friday, January 5.

Don’t worry about asking someone to be your date – that can be your fur-baby. Yes, your dog is your date to this dance. An instructor will be on hand to assist anyone with two (or four) left feet.

Tickets are $75, and includes dinner, dancing and the famous Dog Perignon champagne. 

All the money raised through ticket sales will benefit Canine Rescue, a North Augusta, South Carolina group working to rescue dogs from shelters, puppy mills and other poor conditions. They then work to get the dogs adopted into loving homes.

There will be a runway fashion show, where a Homecoming King, Queen, Prince and Princess will be named. Cocktail hour starts at 6:30 p.m. with the buffet opening at 7:30 p.m.

G Girl Productions promotes couture pet fashion shows and gala events in an effort to support the needs of animal welfare groups. Pet fashion is a multi-billion dollar market as pets have become bona fide family members. Many of those owners search for resources for the very best in clothing items for their fur babies. G Girl Productions connects clients with companies and designers that produce quality clothing. G Girl Productions has been involved in the pet fashion industry in both South Florida and New York for 10 years with the business becoming an LLC in 2013.

3. Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary Art Fair

The Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary Art Fair, presented by Art Miami and sponsored by the City of West Palm Beach, will return for its second edition!

5. Jupiter Craft Brewers Festival

The Loxahatchee Guild recently announced plans for their 34th Annual Fundraising Gala “Twilight in Paradise” to be held on Saturday evening, January 20th, 2018 from 6 p.m to 10 p.m. at Jonathan’s Landing in Jupiter, FL. Event Co-Chairs, Susan Leikin and Cindy Wester are planning a lovely, elegant, beach-like coastal theme affair with cocktails, dinner, entertainment and a silent auction.

The Loxahatchee Guild is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all volunteer organization dedicated to promoting, protecting and preserving local history since 1981 based in the Jupiter & Tequesta area. The Guild’s fundraising efforts and private/public partnerships with the Town of Jupiter, the Village of Tequesta, Palm Beach County Parks & Recreation and local businesses have enabled historic preservation projects such as the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum, Tindall Pioneer House, Dubois Pioneer House, 1913 FEC Train Depot & has recently committed to preserving The Pineapple House at Dubois Park.

7. 2018 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®

The date has been set and on Saturday, January 27, 2018, downtown West Palm Beach will once again be awash with pink. The 2018 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® will welcome thousands of breast cancer supporters, survivors and their loved ones to join together at the Meyer Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, FL for the 27th annual Susan G. Komen South Florida Race for the Cure.

Runners, walkers, corporate and community teams and individuals of all ages are welcome to join the celebration that is so much more than a 5K, and show why they are committed to be More Than Pink™, a movement that highlights the people who act, donate and get involved to help Komen achieve its Bold Goal to reduce the nation’s 40,000 cancer deaths by 50% by 2026.

The Race for the Cure® is one of the largest movements across the country and raises significant funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer. The event celebrates breast cancer survivorship and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease.

The race site opens at 5:30 a.m. with registration at Palm Beach Post Centennial Park, followed by activities throughout the morning, including:
