October is the informal start to season here in Palm Beach County and the weather is finally starting to cool down and outdoor life is plentiful. Pumpkin spice lattes, cozy outfits, fire pits in the backyard and pumpkin beer, it's a great time of year. This month is JAM PACKED with great and exciting events that you do not want to miss. Events that cover a passion from everyone, from animal lovers, to car enthusiasts, to foodies and more. A list below is some of our favorite up and coming events that we hope to see you at.

Paws in the Park

Paws in the park is the largest FREE admission pet event to happen in South Florida! Where you and your best friend can enjoy a day of free fun. An array of retail vendors, food vendors, and plenty of entertainment! Your fury four legged friend can enjoy the Splash Dogs (dock jumping event), obstacle courses, treats and more! Do not have a pet yet? Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League will be there in full force, full of adoptable animals. You do not want to miss these cuties!

OKTOBERFEST

This Oktoberfest features a traditional yet modern Bavarian atmosphere, authentic German meals, beer and brat booths, a Biergarten, family-friendly entertainment for the kids with arts and crafts, carnival, games, vendor displays, souvenirs, and continuous live entertainment provided by two bands direct from Munich Oktoberfest. Celebrate Germany without leaving The Palm Beaches!

Brew 2 At The Zoo


Brew at the Zoo is a party all around! Stroll through the Palm Beach Zoo and enjoy the sampling stations spread throughout the festivities. The combination of amazing wildlife and sensational craft beer is unbeatable. Sample delicious brews from 25-30 Florida craft beer breweries, with a special emphasis on those in The Palm Beaches. Oh! Do not forget all the great food samples that will be spread throughout the zoo! This is one event you do not want to miss, so pick up your tickets early before they sell out!

Boynton Beach Haunted Pirate Fest and Mermaid Splash

Shiver me timbers! Boynton Beach will once again play host to swarthy pirates and mermaid beauties. For two days, swabbies young and old are invited to raise the Jolly Roger and have fun with all things pirate. From pirate reenactments, gypsies and beautiful mermaids, to street performers and even maybe ol’ Captain Jack himself, all those attending are assured an unforgettable and memorable great time at this FREE event. Fright Nights

Who could forget Fright Nights in Palm Beach County during the month of October! The area's freakiest, creepiest, haunted house experience! Looking to get the hairs on the back of your neck to stand and chills run down your spine? Fright Nights is the premier haunted house attraction of South Florida. Chock full with 4 full haunts, carnival rides, live music, food and entertainment. Brand new attractions this year include two new Escape Rooms to choose from, each event is roughly one hour long and will be sure to get your nerves tingling.
