Hang 20 – Surf Dog Classic Surfing Contest
What can be more fun on a summer’s day than hanging at the beach in Jupiter FL and watching dogs surf! Yes, August 26, 2017 marks the 3rd Annual Hang 20 Surf Dog Classic at Carlin Park in Jupiter.
Furry Friends is a no-kill shelter and clinic in Jupiter, Florida. They will once again be hosting this fun family event filled with food, live music, kids’ activities, vendors and of course…SURFING DOGS! Last year, over 2000 attendees shoed up and this year will be even bigger.
The surfing consists of four heats; small, medium, and large dogs and a SUP (stand-up Surfboard) heat. You can register your pup online at www.FurryFriendsAdoption.org, but hurry as space limited. Dogs from far and wide are planning on surfing!
So your dog doesn’t surf? Furry Friends is offering surf lessons for your pooch on Jupiter beach starting in July. You can sign up for those online as well, and who knows? Maybe your puppy can be this year’s surf champion!
There is still time to be a sponsor or vendor as well. All proceeds go to operations at the shelter and it is a great opportunity to show your community support.
